BENGALURU: Snapdeal has partnered with local language content aggregator Dailyhunt to add a news vertical to its platform to leverage the spike in online shopping and browsing with more homebound users amid the Covid-19 pandemic. With this, the users of the value-focussed marketplace can access news content from within Snapdeal’s properties without the need to install standalone apps.
“Snapdeal offers a customised assortment feed to each of our buyers. Our partnership with Dailyhunt furthers this emphasis on personalising the experience for each user and bringing content in their local language and flavour,” said a Snapdeal spokesperson.
About 80% of Snapdeal’s business comes from Tier 2 cities and beyond. Dailyhunt group has 330 million monthly active users who access the platform from 95% of the country’s pin codes.
