RSA startup ReadyAssist raises $1 million in seed funding

Started by Vimal Singh in December 2018, RSA startup ReadyAssist provides roadside assistance, towing and repairs for both motorcycles and cars across India.

Mumbai: ReadyAssist, a Bengaluru-based 24x7 roadside assistance (RSA) startup, has raised $1 million (about Rs 7.3 crore) in seed funding from a clutch of angel investors.

The two-tranche seed funding round was led by existing investor Satish Grampurohit and saw participation from Visweswara Gupta Kothamachu, Nagaraj Srinivasa, Siddramesh Nara, Harish Srinivas Gudi, Praveen Kumar and Vijay Sambamurthi, among others.

The company initially serviced major South Indian cities—Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mangalore, Mysore, Vijayawada, etc.—but after working on different models, it has grown to become one of the leading RSA companies in India. It works on a subscription-based model.
