🤖 As AI emerges and uncertainties grow, how can we enhance team resilience within the talent landscape of Southeast Asia? 💬 Recently, Glints TalentHub hosted a panel discussion and networking event where business leaders and HR professionals discussed strategies to retain top talent while adapting to the evolving and challenging talent ecosystem. These are some of the compelling insights revealed during the discussion: 𝟏. 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐈 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐲 AI has undoubtedly disrupted the talent landscape, but it is more than just a threat. Integrating AI into workflows and leveraging current tools can help businesses enhance efficiency and improve teams' productivity. By embracing AI for its potential benefits rather than fearing job displacement, businesses can sustain resilience and growth amidst uncertainties. 𝟐. 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 Having a clear and codified purpose influences every action within the company, whether it's discussing a company's future direction a year or six months from now. This helps to build teams' resilience in the right way around a common understanding, and it is reflected in everything - from how you build a product to how you interact with clients and partners. 𝟑. 𝐀𝐝𝐨𝐩𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 With the business landscape set to evolve significantly in the next 2-4 years, staying curious and continuously upskilling is crucial for adaptability. This proactive approach not only keeps you competitive but also prepares you for future collaborations. Furthermore, cultivating lasting relationships enhances resilience and helps businesses thrive in uncertain times. 𝟒. 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐠𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐚𝐲 Be kind to people without expecting anything in return. Simple acts of generosity go a long way, including fostering a supportive team during difficult situations. Sharing challenges with the team only is also important - this collective approach encourages everyone to lend a hand, strengthening resilience and trust within the team. 💫 Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to all attendees who made this event a tremendous success, including our esteemed panel speakers, Will Fan🕊, Dr. Vaisagh Viswanathan (VT), Theodoric Chew, along with our moderator Jessica So. A special thanks to Jun Yi Lee ↗️ from GramVideos for capturing the captivating moments during the event as well. Keep an eye out for future Glints events as we journey through the dynamic talent landscape ahead. Hiring is like DATING. Right? Wrong. In my chat with Jaedon Farrugia Founder and COO from the startup Subble, I learnt that even though hiring managers can be tempted to choose the BEST fit candidate from a shortlist, it is not necessarily the RIGHT fit. Hiring is NOT like dating. You don't choose someone for a partner who is best fit. You keep looking till you find the right person. The same should go with hiring. Thanks for the insights Jaedon. I enjoyed our chat. What's your best hiring tip? Let me know in the comments below. #founder #hiring #hire #recruitment #startup
