Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Pvt Ltd has manufactured 15 lakh vehicles at its Chakan plant, including popular models like VW Vento, Polo, Taigun, Virtus, Skoda Kushaq, and Slavia since 2009.

PUNE: Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Pvt Ltd has manufactured 15 lakh vehicles at its Chakan plant since it rolled out the first car, Skoda Fabia in 2009. The popular models of launched by the company include VW Vento and Polo, Skoda Fabia and Rapid, Taigun and Virtus, Skoda Kushaq and Slavia.
Over the past years, the engine shop at the Chakan facility has produced more than 3 lakh engines for the Volkswagen Group.
The company has also manufactured 3 lakh unit for its 2.0 car range, which includes VW Taigun and Virtus, Skoda Kushaq and Slavia.
The company exports over 30% of its car production and has exports to over 40 countries and is among the top four exporter of India-made cars.
