Raid on realtor: I-T team to open lockers
Ahmedabad: Two days of state income tax (I-T) department searches on a city-based realtor that began on Friday have yielded transactions of about Rs 500 crores, financial records, digital storage devices and valuables.
Sources said that the realtor had recently launched high-end residential schemes in Bhadaj and Shela and was on the department’s radar for allegedly taking cash for booking and allotment.
Sources added that the department has details of bank lockers and accounts which will be operated from Monday onwards. “Extraction of digital data is on,” added sources. tnn
