Gangster’s act to be slapped on Atiq Ahmed’s sons

PRAYAGRAJ: The Prayagraj police have decided to slap Gangster's Act against slain mafia-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed's sons Ali Ahmed and Mohd Umar and 10 other members of his gang.
The police have already listed Ali and Umar as history-sheeters with Khuldabad police station and have finalized a list of criminals involved in the killing of lawyer Umesh Pal and his two police gunners.Umesh and the gunners were killed by a group of assailants in Sulemsarai area under the Dhoomanganj police station on February 24, 2023. While four of the assailants were killed in separate encounters with Prayagraj police and STF of UP police, six others are still at large.
A police official said, "Dhoomanganj police have filed four chargesheets in connection with the killing of Umesh Pal and his police gunners. The Gangsters' Act would be invoked against all those whose names figure in the chargesheet."
