BENGALURU: In another setback for actor
Darshan, Bruaht Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has decided to approach the court seeking vacating of stay orders against demolition of structures encroaching buffer zones and stormwater drains in the city.
BBMP had identified over 60 properties, including Darshan’s house at Ideal Homes Layout in Rajarajeshwarinagar, for encroaching the buffer zone or SWDs.
Darshan approached the high court, and in Oct 2016, the court ordered status quo on the proceedings initiated by the district administration against his house.
BBMP didn’t try to get the stay vacated then. Deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar said Tuesday the law is equal for all and efforts would be made to get the stay order vacated.
New ad policy in a week Shivakumar also told the media that a new advertisement policy will be introduced in a week in the city. It will allow the use of Namma Metro pillars to display advertisements.
He said the govt will solve the reservation issue soon and conduct BBMP elections. To address issues related to the state govt’s guarantee schemes, Shivakumar inaugurated the office of Guarantee Scheme Implementation Committee at the BBMP head office Tuesday. Congress functionary G Krishnappa has been appointed chairman of the committee.
