Ambala: Former chief minister and leader of opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Friday said unemployment and
crime would be eliminated on a priority basis after the formation of the Congress govt in the state.
The senior leader claimed that the BJP govt had completely failed to provide employment to the youth and security to the residents.
“Unemployment and failed law and order are the reasons why Haryana has reached the podium position in the country in terms of joblessness and crime.
This is the reason why today the youth are agitating against recruitment scams and for job demands. And traders are agitating for security,” Hooda said while addressing a press conference here.
“The traders of Hisar have called for a bandh against the increasing crime. Congress supports this and promises to protect the lives and property of every citizen, including traders, if the party forms the next govt in the state,” he said.
Flanked by Ambala MP Varun Chaudhary, former minister Nirmal Singh and Chitra Sarwara, the Congress leader claimed that more than 2 lakh posts were lying vacant in govt departments. “Instead of making permanent recruitment against the vacant positions, the govt is busy filling the posts through Kaushal Nigam. The workers are being exploited in Kaushal Nigam,” claimed Hooda.
