35-year-old on the run for 15 years arrested from Bihar

Daya Sagar, wanted for 15 years, was arrested in Bihar for a Dec 2009 murder in Kodungaiyur. He, along with Jaya Kishore and Praveen Singh, committed the crime. He was brought to Chennai and remanded to judicial custody.

CHENNAI: A man who had been absconding for 15 years in connection with a murder case was arrested from his hideout in Bihar.
Identified as Daya Sagar, 35, of Nalanda district in Bihar, police said he, along with Jaya Kishore and Praveen Singh, murdered a man during an argument in Dec 2009 at Krishnamurthy Nagar in Kodungaiyur.
Following the murder, Daya Sagar and Praveen Singh absconded while a case was registered against the trio.

A police team apprehended Daya Sagar in Bihar. He was produced before a magistrate court in Nalanda. After obtaining a transit warrant, he was brought to Chennai and remanded to judicial custody.
Hunt is still on for Praveen Singh.
