Bomb threat at RGIA turns out to be hoax
Hyderabad: High alert was sounded at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) after an anonymous mailer threatened of planting explosives at the airport. An email received at by RGIA Customer support on Tuesday afternoon read “bombs will soon explode and everyone will die”.
The mailer said that the “KNR group, which was behind the attack on schools in Delhi in May” is planting these bombs.

A security emergency was sounded with all wings of CISF, which guards the airport, central and state agencies swinging into action.
After thorough checks and complete sanitisation of the airport premises, the information was declared hoax by security agencies.
A case has been registered at RGI airport police station, and security has also been beefed up.
