CM holds emergency meet on jobs, vows to issue calendar soon
Hyderabad: In a emergency meeting held on Friday, chief minister A Revanth Reddy announced that a job calendar will be released after discussing it in the upcoming budget session of the assembly.
Responding to the growing unrest among unemployed youth over govt jobs, the CM made it clear that the Congress govt was determined to fill all vacancies. The CM said the job calendar will be prepared by ensuring it did not clash with central govt recruitment exams or tests conducted by various boards.

“The unemployed youth are advised not to fall prey to the conspiracies of some political parties and selfish forces. If rules are changed during exams, as the unemployed are demanding, there would be legal problems. The govt will consider all legal aspects and take a decision in the interests of the unemployed,” the CM said after a three-hour review meeting.
He expressed concern that any wrong decision, as done by the previous BRS govt, could lead to even the new job notifications issued by the Congress govt being cancelled by courts.
A detailed discussion was held on the demand for selection for mains in the ratio of 1:100 instead of 1:50 ratio per post for Group I examination. Officials said that as per the notification, selection for mains was in the ratio of 1:50 per post and changing the provisions of the notification would not be legally valid. If rules were amended to select 100 for each post now, there was a risk of intervention by courts and entire notification may be stopped again, they said.
The CM said the govt was trying to overcome all the complications of Group I, II and III appointments which had been pending for years. The CM assured to take a further decision regarding the dates of the exams.
