Manipur INDIA bloc seeks meeting with guv, Biren

IMPHAL: A meeting of INDIA bloc (Manipur unit) convened on Monday at the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) head office here resolved to approach governor Anusuiya Uikey and CM N Biren Singh for discussing the present situation besetting Manipur with special emphasis on Jiribam district.
Following the decision, request letters seeking appointments for meeting the two heads of the state were also sent to the authorities concerned, said a statement issued by convener of the bloc, Ksh Shanta Singh, who is also the CPM state secretary.

The meeting also resolved to appeal to the govenor and CM to deploy adequate state forces in violence-torn Jiribam district .
