Indore:
Madhya Pradesh govt has earned revenue of Rs 1,033 crore, up 8 per cent from registrations of property documents in the first quarter of FY 2025 in Indore region with highest revenues recorded in Indore, Ujjain, Dewas and Dhar.
During April-June period, more than 1.48 lakh documents were registered across 15 districts in Indore region, clocking revenue of Rs 1,033 core, official data showed.
In the corresponding period a year ago, Rs 953 crore revenue was generated from registration of 1,40,017 documents.
In the division, highest revenue was clocked in Indore followed by Ujjain, Dewas and Dhar. Income from registration in Indore stood at Rs 522 crore, Ujjain Rs 119 crore, Dewas Rs 71 crore and Dhar Rs 57 crore in the first three months of the ongoing financial year.
“Documents for property registrations were high during the April-June quarter in FY 2025 as against the same period last year. Income from registrations of documents in the Indore region in this period stood at Rs 1,033 crore, up by 8 per cent from the last year,” Balkrishna More, Deputy Inspector General of Registration Indore region.
In the Indore-Ujjain division more than 5.7 lakh properties were sold in the last fiscal and total revenues earned from registration of property deeds were Rs 4,304 crore.
Gopal Goyal, chairman Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association (CREDAI), Indore said, “Enquiries have been good so far this financial year though now with no trigger and festival sale has slowed down. We anticipate a renewed interest of customers from August with festivals starting and extending until Diwali.”
