Jaipur: A single judge bench of Rajasthan High court on Monday sought a reply by July 10 from the Union govt and the National Testing Agency (NTA) over various irregularities in NEET UG-2024 exam.
The vacation bench comprising Justice Ashok Kumar Jain gave this direction on clubbed petitions of Tanuja Yadav and Aditya Gautam and other candidates. On behalf of the applicant candidates, counsel Rampratap Saini told the court that there had been rigging in the NEET exam in several states and the paper had been leaked.
“We informed the court that more than 100 people have been arrested in Bihar regarding this. Also, the CBI is now investigating the matter. In such a situation, NTA should cancel the NEET exam and get it done afresh,” said Saini.
He said the court also heard the matter of English-medium exam papers given to Hindi-medium candidates in the NEET exam held at Balika Uchcha Adarsh Vidya Mandir in Mantown, Sawai Madhopur district.
He added that another issue raised before the court was that exam papers were given to candidates with a delay of half an hour at many centres, depriving the candidates of the allotted time to solve the paper.
