CDS in Jammu, reviews security situation
Jammu: Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan on Monday reviewed security situation and operational preparedness in J&K in the wake of back-to-back terrorist attacks in the Jammu region.
He visited Srinagar-based Chinar 15 Corps and 16 Corps Hq in Jammu’s Nagrota where top Army commanders briefed him, a source said.
CDS’ day-long visit to Jammu follows home minister Amit Shah’s review of the preparations for upcoming Amarnath Yatra after terror strikes in Reasi, Kathua and Doda killed 12 people, including 9 pilgrims and a CRPF jawan, last week.

Later two Pak terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Kathua.
