Kochi: State-level observance of World Zoonoses Day was organized jointly by health department, animal welfare department, education department and district panchayat, under the leadership of Indian veterinary association Kerala, on Saturday.
District panchayat president Manoj Moothedan said everyone should work together to prevent zoonotic diseases.
Association state president Dr Usharani N presided over the function and state general secretary Dr K Jayaraj welcomed the gathering.
The association noted that a separate veterinary wing should be established under public health department to monitor zoonotic diseases. tnn
