LUCKNOW: Insights on immunity, thyroid cancer causes, treatments, and advanced surgical procedures were shared at an event to mark ‘International Day of Immunology’ organised by BBAU on Tuesday.
The theme was ‘Immunity through the Ages: Navigating the Science of Aging and Immunology”.
Gyan Chand, professor in endocrine surgery, SGPGI, Lucknow was the chief guest.
Dr G Sunil Babu, convenor, featured a lecture introducing the theme of the programme.
The event was graced by professor Sangeeta Saxena, dean, school of life sciences, professor Dinesh Raj Modi, head of the department of biotechnology, professor Ramchandra, director of IQAC, professor V Elangovan, professor Neetu Singh, professor Venkatesh Kumar, Dr Monika Sharma, D Abha Mishra, Dr Ratika Srivastava and Dr Sunish Kumar, along with faculty members and students from various departments of the university. Professor Ramachandra discussed the impact of environmental pollution on immunity, while professor Sangeeta Saxena highlighted the benefits of enhancing immunity through the consumption of fruits and vegetables.
Students from Central Public School, APS Academy, Awadh Public School, Millennium School, and Colonel SN Mishra Public School added vibrancy to the event.
