Will raise Boliyar stabbing in assembly, says Sunil Kumar
Mangaluru: BJP state general secretary V Sunil Kumar said that the party MLAs will raise Boliyar stabbing incident in the upcoming session of the legislative assembly. Sunil visited the victims of the stabbing incident reported during a vijayotsava at Boliyar, at a hospital on Saturday. He urged the government to ensure that such incidents do not recur in the state.
The state government seems to have not taken the stabbing incident seriously, he said, adding that the government under chief minister Siddaramaiah has been supporting anti-social elements. “There is no protection for Hindus and BJP workers in Karnataka,” he said, adding that none of the ministers or government representatives visited the victims, who are being treated at the hospital.
CT Ravi questioned
Dakshina Kannada District Muslim Federation president K Ashraf has asked senior BJP leader and MLC elect CT Ravi whether the slogan comparing Muslims to Pakistanis raised during vijayotsava at Boliyar was part of a pre-planned training of the BJP.
In a press release, Ashraf stated, “Was use of the word ‘Pakistani’ during victory procession part of a training that the BJP workers received? Let BJP leader CT Ravi clarify whether the BJP workers had held victory celebration rally with the intention of creating uproar.”
