Bandra cops book hotelier for sex assault on divorcee
Mumbai: A divorcee residing in a Bandra (West) hostel lodged a complaint against a man, a hotelier, for allegedly engaging in sexual intercourse through deceitful means and for criminal intimidation.
Bandra police have filed an FIR against R P Singh, but he is yet to be arrested.
According to the 35-year-old complainant, who works in a real estate company, Singh allegedly entered into a relationship with her under the pretense of marriage.
However, when he found out she was pregnant, he blocked her number. Anofficer from the Bandra police station stated, “We are collecting details and also going to record statement of the hostel staff and other members in Bandra (West) where the suspect committed the offence between May 3 and 29 before taking action.”
The FIR states that on June 30, Singh called the complainant on her WhatsApp number and informed her that he no longer wished to continue the relationship and could not marry her. “I received a call from a woman informing me that she is married to him and has two children and warned me of keeping distance from him,” said the complainant in the FIR. “She also threatened, saying if I attempted to contact her husband, he would take his own life and hold me responsible in the suicide note,” she added. tnn
