MySugar factory starts sugarcane crushing work

Mandya: Sugar crushing season has started in Mandya district with MySugar factory starting crushing work on Sunday. District minister N Cheluvarayaswamy inaugurated the sugar crushing work at the PSU.
After performing puja to the factory boiler, Cheluvarayaswamy said the MySugar factory was revived without looking at profit or loss issues. “We wanted to help farmers. In the previous crushing season, the factory crushed 2,41,305 metric tons of sugarcane, and the entire amount has been paid to the farmers,” he said.
The minister said that this year there is a shortage of sugarcane due to drought situation. “We set a target of crushing 2.50 lakh metric tons of sugarcane. 1.90 lakh metric tons of sugarcane is available in the district while the rest of the requirement will be met through supply from other districts,” he said. We are confident that this factory will make profit in the coming days, he said.
