Puducherry to reopen LKG, UKG classes

The Puducherry government has proposed to reopen government-aided and private schools for lower kindergarten and upper kindergarten classes for the academic year 2021-2022 from March 14.

PUDUCHERRY: The Puducherry government has proposed to reopen government-aided and private schools for lower kindergarten and upper kindergarten classes for the academic year 2021-2022 from March 14.
Director (school education) P T Rudra Goud in a circular dated March 11 instructed heads of all schools in Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam regions to adhere to the Covid-19 standard operating procedures issued earlier.

Classes for LKG and UKG were suspended in March 2020 due to lockdown imposed to prevent spread of Covid-19 infection.
