PUNE: Pune crime branch officials are devising plans to use state-of-the-art artificial intelligence (AI)-based tools for the 'digital reconstruction' of Porsche car crash, wherein a teenager mowed down two IT professionals to their untimely demise with his opulent luxury car on the night of May 19.
A high-ranking official of Pune Police on Wednesday said that the crime branch unit will employ cutting-edge artificial intelligence for the meticulous 'digital reconstruction' of the incident.

The official elucidated that a highly skilled cyber expert will meticulously design the reconstruction of the crime scene digitally, harnessing the power of sophisticated AI-based software, and all inputs of the crime scenario will be meticulously fed into the software to create an digital representation of the crime scene.
"The intricate movement of vehicles, the precise number of individuals present on the road, the staggering speed of the Porsche, and myriad other crucial factors will be painstakingly taken into consideration for the comprehensive reconstruction of the crime scene. As the accused is a minor, he cannot be physically taken to the spot. Invaluable inputs from the forensic department will also be seamlessly incorporated," the official told.
Meanwhile, police officials also disclosed that Pune police have been inundated with three separate complaints against the father of the minor accused in various cases.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also personally called up Pune commissioner of police Amitesh Kumar on Wednesday morning to obtain a comprehensive briefing on the case.
Police told that in the blood sample manipulation case, Ajay Taware, who held the position of head of department in the forensic medicine department of Sassoon hospital and who was allegedly embroiled in swapping of the blood samples, was not exhibiting cooperation during interrogation.

"He is persistently evading the probing queries of the crime branch. Police are diligently endeavoring to unravel the enigma of what promise he succumbed to in order to manipulate the blood sample, whether it was a monetary incentive or any alluring property," the police said.
Earlier, the crime branch unit of Pune Police, which is spearheading the high-profile investigation, relentlessly continued its interrogation of two doctors who were arrested in connection with the case. Both doctors were remanded to police custody by the district court until May 30.
Pune police arrested the doctors, Ajay Taware, HOD of the forensic medicine department, and chief medical officer Srihari Halnor, along with another staff member, Atul Ghatkamble.
The trio was arrested for the egregious manipulation of blood samples taken from the minor accused in the aftermath of the incident at Sassoon hospital.
When probed about the multiple media reports published that there was an exchange of calls between Ajay Taware and MLA Tingre in the early hours of May 20 following the incident, the senior official of Pune police confirmed that as of now, no connection has been established between MLA Tingre and Dr Taware.
"We have also not unearthed any call records thus far between these two individuals in the course of the investigation," the police official disclosed on Tuesday.
"Pune police are currently exerting relentless efforts to unearth the intricate details of with whom the blood samples were surreptitiously swapped and are also striving to establish the financial trail in the case, including the precise amount of money Taware received or was promised by the minor's father," they added.
Earlier, the Pune district court on Tuesday remanded the father and grandfather of the minor accused involved in the same case to police custody until May 31.
