Ex-MP demands online med exam
Jamshedpur: Former Jamshedpur MP, Congress spokesperson and CWC member Ajoy Kumar on Saturday demanded online examinations for NEET. At a press meet, Kumar accused National Testing Agency (NTA) of tampering with a prestigious exam, not being transparent and falling prey to rich parents and placing the future of lakhs of students in the dark. Kumar said Congress will raise the issues in parliament and that online exams is the only way out with no scope of paper leaks.
"The NTA took all precautions of not being caught like declaring the results on June 4 much ahead of its official date. They now say that 1563 students were given grace marks. What they have done is keeping genuine students in the dark," said Kumar. He said Congress demands three immediate steps to match applicants' NEET scores and their Class XII board results; releasing the list of centres where students have scored more than 580 and releasing video recording of exam centres from where students have scored more than the average marks. tnn
