T'PURAM: A 26-year-old man was brutally murdered by a three-member gang at Kaimanam under Karamana police station limits on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Akhil, a resident of Kaimanam. Karamana police have registered a case in connection with the incident, and a probe has begun to trace the culprits.
According to police, the incident happened around 6.30pm.
Akhil was first brutally assaulted using a rod, and the accused proceeded to hit him using a stone by the accused who arrived at the spot in an Innova car.

The culprits will be nabbed soon. The accused fled the scene soon after the incident," said a senior police officer of Karamana police station.
