Agniveer rally commences in Udaipur for second time
Udaipur: For the second time, Agniveer recruitment rally began at the Khelgaon complex here. The event, which started Monday, witnessed a strong turnout of youth eager to join the Indian Army as Agniveers.
Colonel Inderjit Singh, nodal officer for the rally, said that candidates from Udaipur, Banswara, Dungarpur, Salumber, and Pratapgarh districts participated in the recruitment drive for the general Agniveer category on first day.
In addition, candidates from 22 other districts competed in the categories for clerk, technician, and 8th pass tradesman. The process commenced with a 1600-metre race involving around 800 candidates. Those who succeeded in the race underwent further ground tests, followed by a document verification process. Medical examinations for the successful candidates are scheduled for Tuesday. Additionally, about 1000 candidates from 22 districts who applied for the general Agniveer post will continue with the recruitment process on Tuesday. tnn
