State BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel on Tuesday alleged "Talibanisation" has begun in the state after a BJP worker was allegedly hacked to death, close on the heels of the Congress' victory in the assembly polls.

Commenting on the incident, Kateel alleged: "Talibanisation has begun. Those indulging in anti-national activities are rising and destroying peace and harmony. This is happening because Congress harboured and promoted these types of people. So, we cannot expect anything better from them."

Slain BJP worker Krishnappa's wife and son were grievously injured in the attack after they protested bursting of crackers outside their house in Hoskote, Bengaluru Rural district, on Sunday.

Kateel, the Lok Sabha member from Dakshina Kannada, met family members of Krishnappa on Tuesday.

One person has been arrested and a manhunt is currently on for the others involved in the attack. tnn
