Despite the drop on Wednesday, the film is better placed than most recent releases like Chandu Champion and Mr and Mrs Mahi.
Both these films are still hovering around Rs 30 and Rs 35 crore mark. Munjya is based on a Mahastrian folklore and directed by Aditya Sarpotdar.
Munjya in its first week earned Rs 35.3 crore and began its second week on a good note where on Friday it earned Rs 3.5 crore, on Saturday it jumped to Rs 6.5 crore and on Sunday the film earned Rs 8.5 crore. Monday, being Eid holiday, the film collected Rs 5.25 crore and on Tuesday it minted Rs 3.40 crore and on Wednesday it added another Rs 2.85 crore.
The film will compete with Rohit Saraf’s Ishq Vishq Rebound from Friday and if the new release doesn’t live up to the expectations, the horor-comedy is all set to cross Rs 75 crore mark in its third week.
