Abhishek Bachchan and R Balki to shoot ‘Ghoomer’ in Dharamshala -Exclusive!

Abhishek Bachchan and R Balki will be shooting the next schedule of their sports drama ‘Ghoomer’ in Dharamshala. Balki is at present in Dharamshala for the recce of the film and will shoot the remaining portion of the film in April this year.
‘Ghoomer’ is inspired by the incredible achievements of Karoly Takacs, a Hungarian right hand shooter who won two Olympic golds with his left hand after his right hand was seriously injured.Takacs became a household name in Europe after the 1948 Summer Olympics. Previously it has been reported that this film is not a biopic but it salutes the achievements of special sportsmen who have conquered their disabilities and achieved more than they did when they were not limited by physical handicaps.
Ghoomer also features Saiyami Kher and Shabana Azmi along with Angad Bedi, Shivendra Singh Dungarpur and Ivanka Das. There has been speculation that Amitabh Bachchan could also have a special appearance in the film. The film has already been shot in locations of Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Pune.
Abhishek had shared a post on Instagram on February 5, his birthday, announcing ‘Ghoomer’ with a photo of the clapper board and a caption that said, “Can’t ask for a better birthday present! Birthdays are best spent, working. घूमर. Now spinning,”.
