Actor Abhishek Bachchan has acquired six apartments in the Oberoi Sky City development by Oberoi Realty for Rs 15.42 crore in the Borivali area of Mumbai, based on the property registration records that Zapkey.com was able to access.
As per a Hindustan Times report, the documents show that the Bollywood actor paid Rs 31,498 per square foot for a total of 4,894 square feet of RERA carpet.
The high-rise structure situated along the Western Express Highway (WEH) in Borivali East has six flats on its 57th floor. Ten parking spaces are included with the six units, which were registered on May 28, 2024, according to the papers.
According to the documents, two of the six flats are 252 square feet, two are distributed over an area of approximately 1,100 square feet (carpet), and the remaining two are 1094 square feet.
An occupation certificate has been issued for the building where Abhishek Bachchan bought the six units. In May 2024, Oberoi Realty had reserved 24.22 lakh square feet of the 28.54 lakh square feet that the company planned to build for the Oberoi Sky City project, as disclosed in the company's filing with the stock exchange. An inquiry submitted to Oberoi Realty was not answered. No one was able to get in touch with Abhishek Bachchan to remark.
Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan has previously purchased flats built by Oberoi Realty. In August 2021, Bachchan sold a flat in the Oberoi 360 West building in Worli, Mumbai, for Rs 45.75 crore. He paid more than Rs 41 crore in 2014 to buy the apartment.
The building also has an apartment owned by Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor and his spouse, Mira Kapoor. In February 2023, Radhakishan Damani, the owner of D'Mart, together with his close allies and personal family, paid Rs 1,238 crore for many flats in this project.
