Shahana Goswami says couples should have a contract in marriage: 'Ek jan ke sath saari zindagi? no chance'
Model-turned-actress Shahana Goswami recently shared her unconventional views on marriage in a candid interview with Fever FM.
Known for her roles in films like 'Rock On'!! and 'Firaaq', Shahana sparked a lively conversation by asserting that 'marriage needs changes. She stated, "I knew from a very young age that I was not meant to love one person, 'Ek jan ke sath saari zindagi no chance'
When asked whether marriage should be upgraded, she expressed that it should have been upgraded long ago.
( Woh to kabka upgrade karna chahiye tha). "My friend and I joke about how in some countries, couples have a contract where they check if it works out between them for two years and then renew the contract if it does. It should be such that one should assess if it's working or not, but everyone's attitude towards it is often to carry on as if it's a burden that is, 'Ab ye boj dhote rahege'."
Calling the marriage as one-time commitment she shared. "The obligation has become like a burden, and it doesn't make sense," she explained. Shahana humorously added, "I am committed not to one person, but to every person simultaneously," suggesting a more open and less restrictive view of commitment.
She has previously been in relationships with Bollywood actors Arjun Rampal and Milind Soman, but she is currently single.
