When two marriage-haters find love in a pub

When two marriage-haters find love in a pub
After a successful 2022 with over four releases, Krishna continues his trailblazing spree with Sugar Factory.
Director Deepak Aras, who is making a comeback after over a decade, says the film will be a large, one-of-a-kind canvas in Krishna's career. “Sugar Factory is a youth-centric film. It addresses today's growing pub culture where people find their soul mates! But, we have not gone overboard and have kept the story modest.
Since several important scenes take place in a pub, we have shot it in one of Asia’s biggest pubs for 27 days. The film looks visually rich. We also shot in Goa for 22 days as a major scene takes place there,” Deepak says.
“A huge star-cast ensemble is another big plus. Darling Krishna is the headliner and he is ably supported by Sonal Monteiro, Advithi Shetty, and Shilpa Shetty. Shilpa, known for her roles in Tulu cinema and Kannada serials, will be making her Kannada debut. There is also Rangayana Raghu, playing a pivotal role, while Abhi of Love Mockatail fame, S Narayan’s son, Pavan Narayan, and Govinde Gowda have important roles too,” he adds.
“Rangayana Raghu plays the pub owner. Krishna plays a wedding organiser, who hates falling in love and the concept of marriage. Sonal Monterio, too, has a similar mindset. But after bumping into each other in a pub, they get drunk and announce on social media that they are a couple, only to realise the next morning that they don’t even know each other’s names! It’s a fun ride from here, filled with several emotional elements,” Deepak reveals.
The music album is a big highlight. “Composer Kabir Rafi has delivered seven amazing songs, of which six have been placed very well in the film. They are visually rich and the album has variety. The pub anthem by Chandan Shetty is already a huge hit. We will release the songs one by one in the upcoming days,” Deepak signs off.
