Diljit Dosanjh shares clip of backstage antics with Jimmy Fallon ahead of 'The Tonight Show' appearance; Priyanka Chopra reacts - WATCH

Ahead of his highly anticipated appearance on 'The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon', actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh shared a behind-the-scenes video from the sets that saw him getting goofy with the host.
Taking to Instagram, Dosanjh posted a clip of himself teaching Jimmy a little Punjabi backstage as they prepared for the show. "Sat Sri Akal!" Dosanjh captioned the video that had the text 'Learning how to speak Punjabi with Diljit Dosanjh'.

The clip saw Diljit teaching Jimmy to say "Punjabi agaye oye..."
He also teaches the host to say 'Oye', which not only left Fallon in splits, but also had Priyanka Chopra laughing out loud. PeeCee, who was previously a guest on the show, took to the comments to say, "It’s the Oye for me."

The boys, who could not seem to keep a straight face backstage, also engaged in an animated glove exchange. "Backstage glove swap with @diljitdosanjh!" the two captioned the clip.
This appearance marks another milestone in Dosanjh's career, as it is his US late night TV debut. He is set to perform 'Born to Shine' from his studio album. This appearance follows his historic performance at Vancouver's BC Place stadium in April during his Dil-Luminati tour. He celebrated the sold-out concert on Instagram, writing, "HISTORY HAS BEEN WRITTEN. BC PLACE STADIUM SOLD OUT. DIL-LUMINATI TOUR."

Recently, Dosanjh won critical acclaim for his role in Imtiaz Ali's musical biopic 'Amar Singh Chamkila', alongside Parineeti Chopra. The film, released on Netflix on April 12, 2024, brought to screens the life and struggles of the famed Punjabi singer.
Dosanjh also featured in a supporting role in 'Crew', featuring Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon. He is currently gearing up for the release of 'Jatt & Juliet 3' with Neeru Bajwa. The film, directed by Jagdeep Sidhu, is set to release worldwide on June 27.
Additionally, Dosanjh's latest track 'Bhairava Anthem' from the film 'Kalki 2898 AD' is making headlines. The song was the first musical number released from the sci-fi film that will hit theatres on June 27. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the post-apocalyptic film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani.
