Did you know Rajinikanth named the popular Ghilli Biriyani at Taj Coromandel

Biriyani is one the most favourite food for most people in the city and one of the popular biriyani in town is the famous Ghilli Biriyani at Taj Coromandel in Chennai. Interestingly, did you know that the name for the popular dish was given by none other than Superstar Rajinikanth.
It is well known that the star actor often visits the popular five star hotel in the city.One of the chefs from the hotel has revealed that Rajinikanth named the cuisine that is still famous at Taj Coromandel. The story is that once, Rajinikanth had asked for a different taste of Biryani to eat at the hotel and one of the chef added Roghan masala to the Biryani & served it. The star actor seems to have been impressed with the dish and apparently said 'Ghilli madiri irukku', from which the dish was named 'Ghilli Biriyani'.
The 'Ghilli Biriyani' is apparently the most sought after found at the restaurant in the hotel, which has lot of loyal customers coming in just for the biriyani.
