Don't want roles similar to 'Sarabham': Salony Luthra
Salony Luthra's recent performance in Tamil thriller 'Sarabham' has earned the first-time actress appreciation from all quarters. But she says she doesn't want to do similar roles as she is keen to prove her versatility. In the film, Salony is seen in a double role with shades of grey.
"I've been getting plenty of offers, but they are more or less similar to the one I played in 'Sarabham'.
I don't want to take up a similar role again. I want to prove my versatility in acting and I'm confident that my next film will be much more appealing," Salony said in a statement.
Salony even smoked on screen for the role. "It (smoking) was not my cup of tea but in order to showcase the different shades of the two non-identical roles I played, I had to get the hang of smoking," she said.
"I started watching films like 'The Wolf of Wall Street', 'Fight Club' and 'Gia' to adapt the style of smoking and also started hanging out with my friends who smoke," she added. She is now busy going through script narrations and is likely to zero in on her next project soon.
