Vetri Maaran is one of the most successful directors in the South, and he last delivered the interesting cop drama 'Viduthalai Part 1'. The film starring Soori and Vijay Sethupathi was well received by the audience, and the director has resumed the shooting of its second part. As the filming of 'Viduthalai Part 2' began recently, Soori confirmed the revival by sharing a glimpse from the film set.
But the latest report suggests that Vetri Maaran has been filming an additional scene for 'Viduthalai Part 1', and he will be adding it to the main version as the film is planned to be showcased in several awards and film festivals.
The additional scene is also expected to be added to the film's OTT version, which is already an extended version of the theatrical copy. The shooting of 'Viduthalai Part 2' is happening in the forest region of Dindigul, and the entire filming of the sequel is expected to be wrapped up in a month or two. The release of 'Viduthalai Part 2' might be pushed to early 2024 as the director plans to make the sequel more grand than the first part.
'Viduthalai' also features Bhavani Sre, Gautham Menon, Chethan, Rajiv Menon, Ilavarasu, Balaji Sakthivel, Tamizh, and Munnar Ramesh, among others. Ilaiyaraaja, who scored the music for the first part, is scoring the music for the sequel as well. 'Viduthalai' is inspired by the novel Thunaivan written by Jeyamohan, and the second part is set to untie the knots that are made by part 1.
