During the session, a follower asked Shruti, "Say something in a South Indian accent." Shruti, who was born and raised in Tamil Nadu before moving to Mumbai, couldn't tolerate what she termed as 'micro racism' on her account.
She responded, "Ok… This kind of micro racism is not okay. It's also not okay when you stereotype us with 'idli dosa sambar'. And no, your imitation isn't accurate, so please don't try to be funny. In a South Indian way, I would say 'மூடிட்டு போடா' (Shut up and get lost)."

While she didn't mention anyone by name, it's evident that recently, Bollywood's King Khan Shah Rukh Khan faced backlash for referring to Ram Charan as 'idly vada' at the pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Jamnagar. Ram chose not to respond to the online controversy, but reportedly, his makeup artist Zeba Hassan walked out from the event after Shah Rukh's remark.

Zeba shared on Instagram, "Bhend idly vada Ram charan kahan hai tu (Saying names of snacks, Ram Charan where are you)???' I walked out after this. So disrespectful towards a star like @alwaysramcharan."
On the professional front, Shruti was last seen in Prashanth Neel’s 'Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire'. Currently, she is busy shooting for Shaneil Deo’s 'Dacoit' alongside Adivi Sesh.
