Ram Charan and Upasana first met during their college days and soon they became close friends. However, both of them didn't think that their friendship would grow into something else. In fact, Ram Charan had once shared that he started dating Upasana after his film 'Magadheera'.

After dating each other for a few years, Ram and Upasana told their families about each other. With the blessings of their respective families, the couple took their relationship to the next level. They got engaged on December 11, 2011, and a few months later the couple got married in a grand traditional South Indian wedding ceremony on June 14, 2012.

Ram Charan and Upasana have been married for over a decade now, and the couple recently became parents for the first time in 2023. They embraced parenthood after 11 years of marriage and welcomed their daughter Klin Kaara Konidela on June 20, 2023. As per reports, both Ram and Upasana wanted to become parents only after proper planning and talks. Upasana even spoke about it in an earlier interview, where she said, “As a couple, we didn’t let pressure hit us, whether it was from society outside, our family, or outsiders. Which says a lot about our relationship and how we are going to bring up our child as well."

Both Ram Charan and his wife Upasana are accomplished in their respective fields of work and have busy schedules. While Ram Charan is a famous actor, his wife Upasana is the Vice Chairman of CSR Apollo Hospitals Group and MD of URLife. However, the power couple prioritise each other and their relationship over other things. This is evident from a statement that Ram once gave about his wife Upasana. Talking about Upasana and their loving bond, Ram Charan said, “It still feels like we are friends. Moreover, she always takes care of me big time... She also makes everything special for me. Which man won’t be floored with so much attention and affection? She remembers every minor and major habit of mine."

In an interview with The Times Of India, Upasana Konidela had revealed that Ram Charan is not just a fantastic partner but also a hands-on dad. "During my postpartum, my husband was my therapist and moved in with me to my parents' place. I understand it's not the same for all mothers, so they need to prioritise their well-being and seek professional assistance when needed... His loving attention and active participation in raising Klin Kaara has enriched this phase further. Even her eating habits mirror Mr C. She's a true Konidela," Upasana had shared.
