Since its inception, the show has aired 25 episodes in 2024, with the current event taking place in Madison Square Garden in New York. The top five superstars are expected to be a highlight of the show.

WWE SmackDown began in April 1999 with the phrase, “Layeth The SmackDown” coined by The Rock. The first pilot episode of WWE Smackdown saw immense success which led to the show airing weekly on UPN since August 26, 1999.
In 2024 alone, SmackDown aired 25 episodes with this week’s SmackDown event taking place in the Big Apple, New York, Madison Square Garden.
WWE has already confirmed the participating superstars, however, the top five superstars in this list are a must to look out for in WWE SmackDown.
Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes is currently the Undisputed WWE Champion, holding both the titles of WWE Champion and WWE Universal Champion as of April 2024. He defeated Reigns to earn this title and achieve his first world title in WWE. He was also the executive vice president of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) from 2019 to 2022 and was a three-time AEW TNT Champion.
LA Knight

Shaun Edward Ricker, ring name LA Knight, began his career in 2003 on the independent circuit. Despite incurring losses against The Bloodline, he came through on WrestleMania XL on April 7, defeating Styles. He followed that up by defeating Bobby Lashley and Santos Escobar in the semifinals of the Undisputed WWE Championship Eliminator Tournament.

Logan Paul

Logan Paul signed with WWE in June 2022 and currently holds the title of WWE United States Champion. He achieved the title in his first reign by defeating United States Champion Rey Mysterio on November 4, 2023, by using brass knuckles on him. He then proceeded to make his first appearance on SmackDown on December 1, 2023. He went up against Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Champion title, and on May 25, 2024, Logan Paul lost to Rhodes due to an interference from the ring announcer Ibrahim Al Hajjaj.
Solo Sikoa

Joseph Yokozuna Fatu, ring name Solo Sikoa, is a former NXT North American Champion and the de facto leader of The Bloodline. The Bloodline defeated Randy Orton and Kevin Owens on May 4, 2024. Sikoa then proceeded to assault the WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. Rhodes then got back at him by cornering Sikoa on the June 21 SmackDown episode. Teaming up with Owens and Orton, he defeated Sikoa, disqualifying him by making The Bloodlines interfere.
Kevin Owens

Kevin Yanick Steen, ring name Kevin Owens, is a Canadian wrestler who signed with WWE in August 2014. He has won nine championship titles, which are listed below:

Kevin Owens also achieved the 23rd overall Grand Slam Champion title. In recent events, Owens went up against the United States Champion Logan Paul at WrestleMania XL on April 7, 2024, where he failed to win the title from Logan. Owens was then attacked by Tama Tonga, the newest member of The Bloodline on April 19. Following this, Owens and Orton went up against Sikoa and Tonga in a Tag Team Street Fight where they lost due to interference from Tanga Loa.
