CMF Phone 1 set to launch on July 8: What to expect

CMF, the sub-brand of Nothing, has officially announced the global launch of its highly anticipated CMF Phone 1, along with the CMF Buds Pro 2 TWS earbuds and the CMF Watch Pro 2 smartwatch. The launch event is set to take place on July 8, 2024, at 10:00 AM BST (2:30 PM IST).

The CMF Phone 1 is expected to be a more affordable version of the budget-centric Nothing Phone 2a.It will likely be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC and feature a 6.67-inch 120Hz OLED display, a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor, a 16MP front-facing camera, 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage with microSD card support, and a 5000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging. The phone will run on Android 14-based NothingOS 2.5 out of the box.
Pricing for the CMF Phone 1 is expected to be around Rs 20,000 in India. The phone is said to be available in Black, Blue, and Green colours, with a special Orange variant for the Indian market.
The CMF Buds Pro 2 and Watch Pro 2, successors to their first-generation models, will also be launched alongside the Phone 1. While details about these devices are scarce, the teaser for the Watch Pro 2 shows a round dial with a Smart Dial feature, similar to the one seen in the CMF Neckband Pro.
