KMDA shuts lakes and parks as cyclone 'Remal' preventive measures
May 26, 2024Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA) closed Rabindra Sarobar and other parks managed by KMDA as a precautionary measure against cyclone 'Remal'. The closure will last for 24 hours starting from Sunday 3pm. Kolkata Municipal Corporation also closed its parks and gardens, including Millennium Park, for the day. KMDA began announcing through a public address system from 12 noon onwards.
