A special court in Jodhpur has set aside an order from a CBI court that had taken cognizance of punishable offence against Congress legislator Krishna poonia in the abetment of suicide case of police officer Vishnu Dutt Bishnoi. The special judge observed that there was no legal basis for the subordinate court to take cognizance of the offence and that the evidence did not support the allegations against poonia. The court also noted that poonia had not made any other calls to police personnel for any favor or work.

Two men have been arrested by the Jaipur police for the murder of their 50-year-old father, a constable in the Rajasthan Armed Constabulary. The police solved the case within 10 hours of finding the victim's body. The brothers confessed to killing their father due to an ongoing family dispute, stating that he tormented their mother. The police are continuing their investigations to determine if there were other suspects involved in the murder.
