IIT Bhubaneswar inaugurated the AI and HPC Research Center (AHRC) to spearhead interdisciplinary research in artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC). Positioned as a national research hub, AHRC aims to address societal challenges through AI and HPC applications in fields such as medicine, agriculture, and cybersecurity. Led by IIT Bhubaneswar, the centre collaborates globally and domestically to foster cutting-edge research, exemplifying a commitment to innovation, technology impact, and service to both local and global communities.

IIT Bhubaneswar establishes AI and HPC Research Center (AHRC) for interdisciplinary and collaborative research. AHRC aims to find solutions to real world problems in medicine, agriculture, environment, sustainable communities, smart cities, and cyber security. The center will provide a global platform for cutting-edge research and innovation in AI and HPC. It will collaborate with national and international institutions, including AIIMS and other IITs. The center is developing AI tools for diagnosis and screening of diseases in rural communities.
