Luca Roncoroni, creative director of Icehotel said, "The pandemic forced us to think differently, but the result is a stunning homage to Sweden. The 31st edition of Icehotel will be a memorable one. The 35 artists created concepts that will mesmerize our guests, giving them a much-needed escape from the reality of this year.”
Icehotel’s features
This year, the property will display 12 unique art suites in the hotel and will feature six new art suites. The property also features a ceremony hall where people can organise weddings and other parties. By December 21, the hotel will have six art suites too which will be equipped with a QR code. Interested people can scan these codes to listen to an audio guide explaining more about the art project.
Then there’s a frozen forest set right in Skogen (the Ceremony Hall) and for kids, there is a Toybox suite full of toys. Another prime feature of the place is the art suite Sauna which is the coldest sauna in the world!
