Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is one of the most popular singing reality shows on Bengali television. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa boasts of a unique format as a platform where singers from all age groups can showcase their talent. This popular Bengali reality show started its journey in 2006. This year, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is going to commence its 21
st season. The promo of the upcoming show is out now.The audience and the aspiring contestants are already gearing up for a brand new season of the singing reality show. In the promo, an array of people hailing from different backgrounds and cultures can be seen singing their hearts out. Whether it is someone from the mountains, or a homemaker – Sa Re Ga Ma Pa promises to provide a platform to showcase their talent. The tagline for the new season of the show is, “bhalo gaan, jogyo shomman”, which means – ‘good music shall earn the deserving reward’.
Sa Re Ga Ma Pa started its journey back in 2006 with Aneek Dhar as the first season’s winner. Within a couple of years, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa opened its door for the little champs too. In 2008, the reality show hosted a season dedicated to visually impaired singers. In 2015, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa had multiple winners from different sections. Aditi Munshi, and Durnibar Saha were a few among them. The singing reality show maintained a close association with the late Kalika Prasad Bhattacharya, a legendary folk artist and one of the founder members of the folk group Dohar.
Over the years, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has been hosted by several prominent faces of the Bengali industry like Saheb Bhattacharya, Babul Supriyo, Aneek Dhar. For over half a decade, actor Jisshu Sengupta has hosted the popular reality show. After Jisshu’s exit from the hosting duty, actor Abir Chatterjee took the baton and he has been hosting the show for the last two seasons. Abir is returning as the host for the upcoming season as well. The Sa Re Ga Ma Pa audition starts from the northern region of Bengal. On March 29, the audition will be held in Darjeeling. On March 31, another audition will be held in Cooch Behar.
