KaranVeer Mehra, active in TV for two decades, enjoys negative roles for their variety. He played a positive cameo in Pukaar and finds long-running shows monotonous.

Actor KaranVeer Mehra, who has been a part of the TV industry for over two decades now, is passionate about his work. While he has explored all kinds of roles, he admits that he enjoys playing the baddie.
Talking about it, he says, "For the past four to five years I have only played negative roles and I love that. There has been a variety in each negative role that I have played.
Doing such roles helps me as an actor because I try different ways to portray the characters I take up. When we are playing good guy roles on TV, they all look similar. There is very little to do I think there."
There was a time when he was offered only good guy roles. He recounts, "For the longest time in my career, I played positive roles. It's in the last five years that I have been playing grey characters. In my last show Pukaar, where I did a cameo, it was a positive role. That was after a long time, so I enjoyed it."
Does working on TV feel monotonous after a point? He says, "It can get monotonous when the shows go on for years. Luckily my shows have not gone on for years. The duration of my show have been good, not too long and I like it that way."
The actor, who recently returned from...after participating in ... says, "I don't like taking a break after the show ends. I would rather focus on theatre or be a part of workshops that can help me hone my craft and satisfy my creative side."
