Wagle Ki Duniya: Men from 3 generations of the Wagle family revisit RK Laxman's statue as the show hits 1000 episodes

When Wagle Ki Duniya – Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissey first took off, marking a new beginning, Sumeet Raghavan and Anjjan Srivastav paid a visit to the legendary RK Laxman's Common Man statue at Worli. The on-screen father-son duo had initially visited the statue when the show kicked off three years ago, attributing the success of Wagle Ki Duniya to RK Laxman’s Common Man.
Fast forward three years and 1000 episodes later, the Wagle men, Sumeet Raghavan and Anjan Srivastav, returned to the iconic statue.
This time, they were joined by the youngest member of their on-screen family - Sheehan Kapahi, who portrays the third-generation Atharva Wagle on the show. It was a touching moment symbolizing a full circle of life, with three generations of Wagle men representing the growth of the Wagle family both on and off-screen.
Sumeet Raghavan, portraying Rajesh Wagle, expressed, “Revisiting the statue with Aanjjan Ji and Sheehan was a nostalgic and proud moment for us. It brought back memories of our origins and the journey we've traveled to embed the Wagle family in the hearts of our audience. Reaching 1000 episodes is a significant milestone, and we aim to keep delighting viewers for another 1000 episodes and beyond.”

Anjjan Srivastav, portraying Srinivas Wagle, shared, “It was truly a moment of completion, and having Sheehan with us this time made it even more special. It demonstrates how far we've progressed and how the legacy of Wagle Ki Duniya thrives with the younger generation. I deeply admire RK Laxman ji, and I'm pleased to uphold his legacy.”
