Mammootty and Asha Sharath starrer ‘CBI 5’ set for its World TV Premiere

Get ready for a weekend filled with thrill and mystery, on the small screen. The Tamil dubbed version of CBI 5 starring Malayalam superstar Mammootty, SN Swamy and K Madhu is set for its TV premiere. The movie premiere is slated for Sunday (November 13) at 1 pm on a popular Tamil channel. CBI 5 was Mammootty's second theatrical release this year, after Bhishma Parva.The film received huge pre-release hype as the fifth installment of the popular movie franchise.

"CBI 5: The Brain," directed by K. Madhu and written by S.N. Swamy is a crime thriller drama that talks about a case that had the entire C.B.I. department puzzled. A movie about betrayals and murders, "CBI 5: The Brain" is an exciting Malayali movie that grabs interest.

The story starts with a C.B.I. officer taking his class for an upcoming batch of I.P.S. officers. The officer from C.B.I. decides to teach them a lesson about the unexpected events they will face while working in the force and narrates a case that had their minds boggled. He recounts the case with great detail and gives an account of the case of basket killings. In this case, a lot of people were murdered, but the murders were ruled as deaths with natural causes. The students listened with rapt attention and also used it as a case study to get further into their future.

Director K Madhu said, "I wanted to bring something new and fresh in terms of concept and screenplay to the table, and the result was CBI 5. I am grateful to the entire cast and crew of the film for bringing an eccentric story to life with their excellent performances and Jakes Bejoy’s background score, which adds essence to my film. The intention behind curating the movie was to provide viewers with a good mystery-thriller and call for a nail-biting experience.”

Adding to this, actor Mammootty said, "This film brings in a unique concept that has not been prominent in the Tamil GEC space. Discussion regarding CBI 5 and premonitions have earlier been mere concepts on paper, but attempting it on screen was challenging and fun at the same time. I am certain that the World Television Premiere of CBI 5, will keep families and children at the edge of their seats and make their weekend worthwhile."
