Santhanam and Surbhi starrer ‘DD Returns' set for world television premiere

The comedy horror drama film ‘DD Returns’, starring Santhanam and Redin Kingsley will have its world television premiere on October 23 at 01:30 PM on the occasion of Ayudha Poojai.

The film stars Santhanam, Surbhi, and Redin Kingsley in the lead roles and also has an ensemble cast including Lollu Sabha Maaran, Pradeep Rawat, Masoom Shankar, Rajendran, Munishkanth, Sai Dheena, Deepa Shankar, Swaminathan, Saidai Sethu, Lollu Sabha Manohar, Cool Suresh, Bipin, Thanga Durai, and Manasvi Kottachi in the supporting role.

The film is written and directed by S.Prem Anand. Music is composed by OfRo. While cinematography and editing are handled by Dipak Kumar Padhy, and N. B. Srikanth respectively.
DD Return was originally released in theatres on July 28. On the first day, The movie was made on a budget of approximately Rs 21 crores, as per reports. While the Box Office collection is yet to be out. Furthermore, it made Rs 42 crore in its first week at the domestic box office.

The film tells the story of the deadly game “Win or Run,” where contestants face dire consequences upon failure. The family organizing this game meets a tragic end, and their ghosts haunt a vintage French palace. Enter Sathish, an event manager, who stumbles upon stolen money and unknowingly gets involved with a dangerous businessman. To resolve the situation, he enters the haunted palace, setting the stage for an exhilarating adventure filled with humour and spooky encounters. As the game unfolds, secrets about the ghosts’ pasts are revealed, making the story even more intriguing.
DD Returns succeeds in blending comedy and horror effectively, delivering an entertaining and engaging cinematic experience. With Santhanam’s comic prowess, a well-staged narrative, and strong supporting performances, the film proves to be a delightful watch for Tamil movie lovers seeking a mix of laughter, love, and thrilling surprises.
