Uttar Pradesh: Rats bite patient in Government Medical College in Budaun, inquiry ordered

A patient admitted to the ICU of Government Medical College in Budaun district of Uttar Pradesh was bitten by rats. The person had sustained injuries in the accident. The family of the patient accused the hospital of negligence. The patient identified as Ram Swaroop was admitted to the ICU of the hospital where rats bit him. The medical college principal inspected the ward and found holes near the bed. The Principal said that holes have been repaired and all potential entry points of rats closed. An inquiry was ordered and hospital administration assured strict action against those responsible staff.
