Central government mobilizes resources to aid Sikkim after devastating flash floods

Minister of State for Home Affairs, Ajay Kumar Mishra, expressed concern over the tragic flash floods in Sikkim and highlighted the Central government's collaborative efforts with the state government to manage the crisis. Mishra acknowledged the extensive damage, loss of lives, and disruption in road connectivity caused by the disaster. He mentioned that Prime Minister Modi had already conferred with the state Chief Minister to address the situation and restore normalcy. Mishra also mentioned the formation of a specialized team comprising six ministries to rebuild infrastructure, with the Home Ministry taking the lead in this comprehensive recovery effort.
